What Makes Hybrid Cars Unique?

It’s no secret that hybrid vehicles are manufactured and designed differently. The mechanics of a hybrid are much different than a gas-powered car, which is why it’s important to bring your hybrid vehicle to specialists who understand how they operate. Typically, hybrid vehicles produce far fewer tailpipe emissions than conventional vehicles. When running solely on electricity, no CO2 emissions are emitted (whereas some are released when using the engine). However, a small amount can be produced from the vehicle’s electrical components. Evaporative emissions are also possible. Certain issues can crop up from the emissions system, which we are here to help with. The check engine light will often appear in the instrument cluster to alert you to a complication with the system. Electrical Issues with Hybrid Cars

Hybrid vehicles depend largely on their electrical components to run, and on occasion, may need maintenance or repair. Unbeknownst to many, the battery is arguably the least-maintained component in a hybrid. While they are designed to be low maintenance, we do recommend regular checks of the system and its power cords and connections. The regenerative braking system is included in all hybrid cars and SUVs, which absorbs the energy produced when braking and uses it to recharge the battery. This means the brakes are more likely to last longer compared to gas-powered cars.
